Frame1: The battle begins. Objective for the JG77 was providing Escort for the KG30 Bomber-Group.
This pic shows me storming forward to intercept
the Spits.
When we arrived the english coast, the british
defenders where already within our buff-formation!!
All 109´s went to WEP immediatly to prevent
a total desaster. Our buffs were twisting and turning to shake off the
Spits.
Defensive for a moment...
Instead going for the buffs ,this Spit overclimbed
me and turned towards my six. That close the pilot was only able to ping
me one time. I did some evasive maneuvers to shake him off and tried to
get a clear shot to his fellow in front off me.
This Spit should regret not aiming more careful...
Later in this battle Kuer shoots him down after
i smoked him bad. Coup de grace!
Seen from another perspective.
This was damn close! The Spit behind overtook
me and i got a clear shot at him. I smoked the one in front of me too,
but the pilot was able to escape to friendly ack range and landed save.
A classic situation for a clear shot to a near
non moving target. You dont get often!
While he concentrates on the buffs ahead, i pull
the trigger.
After my first 20mm-Shells found its target he
breaked away. Only to survive about 2 mins.
